Jak, What are you plans for this motor, road/race/rally, I have the cam specs that i use in a similar size motor which is in the rally car, what size chokes are in the webers? I use to have 34mm in my 40's before i went to 45's with 38mm chokes, it does make a difference to your cam selection and intentions for your motor.

I'm putting it into a 1200 ute, wich will just be for personal use. I'm assuming there 34mm chokes. I want it tourquey lower down in the revs rather than for higher revs.

it's probably best if i give you the name of the company who ground my cam. they are Sure Cam at Stafford, ph: 3352 4777, they will spend some time talking to you about your application and your motor, i highly recommend them, i'm thinking about getting a different profile cam for my motor, the cam regrind should cost about $120 with a supplied cam, hope this is of some help to you.

Hi Jak,I have a cam in my A 15 that is very torquey low down an mid range.I have a profile for reproducing this cam.If you are interested I could take you for a ride and show you what it feels like.I also have a couple of Thighe Cams camshafts gathering dust under the house, maybe one of these would interest you,i dont want a lot for them.If interested, give me a ring on 33513655. Jim.

Thankyou for your help. I've found someone who will grind my cam to the specifications that I want. I'm almost finished the car now. I have been tinkering with it for the last 2 years. Hopefully I can get some photo's up to show.
