I hate it when people don't watch other people on the road, I got T-boned on my bike on the way home from work on wednesday, luckily not much damage to me (only skinned knees where skidded along bitumen) but the bike is a different story. And all she could say was "oh I didn't see you"

Whats the story with that can't you make her pay you anyway. I assume that'd be court cases and it wouldn't be worth it?

I ride a pushy to work a fair bit. Reckon it's a matter of time till some moron takes me out.
I wonder if i can claim on thier car insurance (assumeing they have it) to repair any damge to my push bike?

You should make the person who hit you pay out of their pocket, it was their fault after all.
But I suppose it could have been worse, they could have T-boned you in the ute.

Go hit her up. get a price for the repairs, tell her that she has to pay it off at so much per week. Make her set up an automatic payment to your savings account. If she wont play ball take it out on her car. Inflict damages to the value of on it.(she has no insurance rememmber) If she wont come to the party, get the police involved, careless driving or something.
