Well me and me mate are starting to play with some cheap engines now.... we picked up an a14 bottom end and an a15 head and a weber, pretty much cause they were cheap..

from comparing the an a14 head to an a15 head, it appears the a15 head has a larger "pots", where as the a14 head we looked at was flat, with minimal clearance for plugs and valves....

would this drop the compression ratio using a stock a14 with a15 head too much, therefore the a15 head would need to be shaved a little? or would it still work, and still have more overall
power than an a12? (which is all we care about at this stage cause a supercharger is planned later) using slightly less compression would also give us less chance of blowing the head
gasket (as we do too often)....

we need some advice from anyone who has played with the a14's and a15's before becuase we don't have time to play "trial and error".....

thanx
ben
