How does the lid seal around the rear cabin corners of the ute?? Is it water proof or just like a normal cover??

it has a fibre glass insert that screws into the cabin section and it hinges at the start of the tray.it seems to be waterproof but u could make a rubber seal to go around it if u wanted to it also has a lock on the back of it ,u just have to cut a 2 inch slot in the centre of your tailgate to make it work, but all in all it looks really good.

I am interested. Got an address/email/website etc??

As for locking the lid down. I am thinking of using magnetic locks in both rear corners of the ute. To do this all that is needed is small round metal disks mounted on the lid. The magnetic locks can offer up to 300kg lock force per corner.

i like the look of a hard top cover on a ute... but at $450
I think i will stick with paying $180 for a flat vinyl cover (you can pick any colour to match interior).
I remember seeing one in an old hot4s mag that had the datsun logo embossed into it.

Thanks sr20detuterus. We looked at the hard tops at Blueys Ute World just to get an idea of price. $450 + paint + fitting will s**t on any price for a custom one. Might even mean a family trip from Bris to Rocky/Yeppon to pick it up.

Look forward to getting phone/address and seeing the photos.
