Anyone have one that's taking up space in their shed? Especially in Sydney or NSW?

Prefer the head unit to not be sun damaged and crumbling. Engine side equipment is not essential.

Too many requirements? Maybe, but if you don't ask..you never get.

Cheers,
Chris

Is it the same as the 1200 one? I don't think they are the same. But I'm not sure. I guess it's possible that they are very similar.

Does it look like this: Photo 1
or this: Photo 2

I think these are the same. Just that one has the vents closed.

Cheers Chris

I'd guess they'd both fit (if possibly needing a little under-dash bracket work). The new one just seems to angle up, the old one sits flat under the dash.

For comparison, check out the LHD setup:

Chris the AC units in your pics are still avaliable new in various similar designs, They were fitted to many vehicles mazda 323's, trucks etc. Coventry or Ingrams will be able to supply you with one and you can buy just the underdash part you are after. Vintage Air Co from America sell tiny units that can go up under the dash if you are just after AC and not really the factory style. A few months ago I was speaking to a bloke who was doing the roof on my friends house. This bloke has a rod shop in Queensland and he said they were using AC units which are even smaller than the Vintage Air units. If you are interested I can get you in contact with him and he will be able to let you now where to go, if thats what you are after.
