some of you would remember my 1200 coup that i built about 18 months ago, picks still under blakes project.
Well melbourne cup day last year i blew the engine.
i have sinces fitted a modified FJ20 non turbo and 5 speed, sat the engin back a bit and did away with the cross member in favour of a a fabricated Aframe from where the old cross member is stil attached to the chassis rail to the front cross chasis rail. I also fabricated a cross member full with to mount the gearbox from. i havent yet driven the but will be interested to see if it is torsionally stiff enough, should be because of a robust aframed tower brace and the lower aframe. also car has fluuly welded 6 point cage so I am hoping. I can't wait to get it out there and try it. It leaves very long black tyre tracks in the driveway without dumping thje clutch, just using throttle.
