Just recently did some filming work on the side for a mate, including the cost of tape dubbs i'm looking at about $500.00.

I plan to go part hunting soon and want to clarify some things.
I remember someone on here talking about Bluebird diff centres fitting the h165 ute diff.
I do a lot of highway driving and would like a lower ratio, any ideas on model types i should look for?????(ser 1 wagon)
Also hoping to find a 5 speed tucked away somewhere (you never know) ,am i correct in looking for late seventys 120Y or Sunny???

Thanx in advance for any info

The Sunny 5 speed is what you are looking for. Only the US 120Y got the 5 speed. We didn't get 120Y's with 5 speeds in Australia.

The Bluebird diff centre is a little more obscure. There are two sorts 3.9 and 3.7. And there is another diff centre with a different size spline. So count your splines on your 1200 Ute Diff, and measure the outer diameter of the axle spline. Then count the bolts, and remember the pattern, and the go look under some Bluebirds.

Best I can do.

Chris

I too am after an h165 with a ratio of 3.9:1. As i understandit they came out of 910 bluebird wagons. There are lots of 60A and 60L five speeds in NZ.
