does anyone know what modern seats will fit into the coupe without excessive mods? I guess brackets probably have to be made up in any case. Also, my CA is great but too powerful -needs better leaf springs in rear - what's the best set up ie resetting or adding extra leaf? justin

i was at a swap meet a few weekends back.
bloke there had a pair of CRX seats that looked small enough and even looked fairly easy to attach to the datsun seat rail.
best of all they were a nice arse gripping bucket seat.
i was tempted and should have got em but i can't justify the expense. i already have fibreglass seats/harness but theyre too impracticle for regular road use.
Just an idea though, don't really know how well they'd fit.
As for springs try mounting a set of wagon springs, that got rid of tramp in my coupe.
Might not be enough for a CA though. might need to get some links for that live axel.
good luck.
matt.

For your rear springs call John Taylor at Pedders Penrith. He makes a great set of rear springs for racing 1200's and these will be perfect for your CA powered car.

I bought a pair of daytona race seats from performance unlimited and could not believe it when they bolted straight up to the original holes on the 1200 runners! paid $550 for the pair.

I was at a mates wrecking yard today and noticed that Holden Barina /Suzuki Swift seats have almost identical front mounting points. I'll have a good look and take some measurements of them in the next few days and let you know. And I'll find out what year they are.
