what would i pay for a a15 motor and a rebuild kit has anyone got any idea thanks

i payed $700 for a low jap import (very clean) from a 4x4 jap commercial dismantlers. just try any jap dismantlers

depends on where you get it from.
Import ones are normally more expensive... IF you are patient enough, A15 's and A14's pop up in the papers and ozdat classifieds and things like that...

i picked one up in good nick with a 30 70 cam, extractors, sum head work and a 32/36 weber for $500
just yesterday. So there around that mark!!

even look out for a whole vehicle with the engine you want i scored a side damage A14 sunny for $150 with a engine which had only been rebuilt 7000 km's before hand, i got all i could out of it and then sold the rest and masde my money back. thats always worth a try. and if you have metal recyclers like the ones near us they will take away the body and give you a $50 voucher for Kmart or Target. win win i say

A mate of mine is selling his A15 that has had the GX head done new 20 thou pistons,bearings timing chain balanced bla bla bla.
he has spent I think 700 bucks just in parts alone but after all that one of the bores is porous so what is it worth ??
When he gets me all the details I will post it with what exactly has been done.
