I would suggest using an SR20 radiator, sure it may be a bit of mucking around now, but later on it will save time and have ample cooling capacity. I have used both a 120Y and Gemini radiator without drama's.

the sunny radiator is plenty big for that engine and is easy to install ... putting a larger one in will not have a benefit

tommy,
I used the sunny radiator in my ute for ages and it was perfect. The Temp gauge only just got over the C. It's very easy to install also, just needs to be bracketed off to one side and the other side can use the original mounting holes. You can pick them up from a wrecker or a reconditioning place for about $80.
However I was using it against my standard A14. Maybe the way to go is the SR20 radiator to give you a final solution and never having to change it again.
I think I might investigate the SR20 radiator also for mine to solve a minor heating issue since the motors been worked.
Cheers

installing the gemini radiator this weekend (sunday hopefully)... it looks to be the best compromise between stockish and full scale radiiator swap (sr20 style) for minimal $$$. my $50 chemical claen testing and resealing looks trick.

no this is gonna make some folk think...

my 1000 ute is going to recieve a bomber a15, and i know for a fact that the original radiator only just keeps up with my worked a12 in winter.
There is notmuch room in the engine bay for anything else, so i think that a custom job is the only answer, unless someone has had better experiences with other options.

Any ideas??

This is what i have decided 2 do, i just went in before and bought a datsun 1500 ute radiator. Im goin 2 chuck a thermo fan on that and then put it with the a15 and see how it goes, If that doesnt work then i will move on 2 somethin a bit bigger

Go for a 1992 Pintara radiator they are thin but long and would probably be suffice for your application, pick one up with thermo fan and bobs your auntie...

the hose ends are on the right sides and would be fine with a bit of pipe measuring. they keep a CA20 cool in a EW engine bay with the exhaust manifold 3" from it so they must be okay
