Remember, the largest photo you can post is 1 megapixel, so you'll have to reduce resolution (picture size, width x height) of most pictures. Also, the file size (byte size) must be under 100k, so you may also need to adjust the 'quality' using your favorite photo software.

Well i did that, the photo is at 53k and it is well under 1megapixel. after i upload it, it freshreshes to the main member photo page and it is no where to be found.

Ah then. This is usually caused by the file name. Make sure it ends with .jpg, not .JPG. If you do not see the file ending, do this:
Open "My Computer".
On the Tools menu, click "Folder Options"
On the View tab, clear the box "Hide extensions for known file types"
