hey, is that the older body shape??? someone told me that the really old 1200 utes look totally different. the sort of look like a mk1 cortina from the front. (that sort of bonnet shape)

There isnt much diffrence in the body shape then mine, and mine is a 78...

Naw, bonnet and guards are the same, from 1971-2005. The only substantial exterior changes are:

- Grille (1971-1973 uses the sedan grille, while '89 up has square headlights)
- Longbed vs shortbed
- Newer South Africa bakkies have a raised roof a la Subaru Outback

hmmm... must be confused with the 1000 ute then??

no i wasnt... have a look at 64_ute 's pic. its a 1200 ute. thats the one i meant, my memory of it was just a little blurred

Look, when people come to this site and say "Datsun 1200", we assume they are talking about a B110 (like in the photo on the home page) or B120 the ute version of same.

We don't expect them to be talking about the 1958-1964 Bluebird "Datsun 1200" or the ute variant of it.
