I may have to sell my toy, CA18DET powered 1200 ute!

Its not something i want to do but due to a slow death of the "family" car we may be forced to upgrade to a new car.

I am just seeing if anyone would be interested or know of a buyer for it, i will be asking close to $14,000.

mate i dont want to sell it, but we need a new car and my wife is not keen to run around in something new- so it may have to be me- which means i cant afford to run the ute as well.

The thing is my dream car- i spent ages looking for one, have owned 5 of them.the last thing i want is to see this one go. Im hoping it wont sell then i can tell the wife "We are forced to keep it"

Unless you are allergic to dirt, and/or have a morbid fear of car mechanics...you don't NEED a new car.

A new car breaks down just as frequently as a well serviced older car.

All new cars will immediately lose you $2000-$30000.

Make a good decision based on needs, not wants. You already have the Datsun, which satisfies more than just "wants" if you use the Ute tray for something.

and if the family starts expanding, put em in the back

seriously though, when i bought my ute there was a mass of odd seatbelts behind the seats...
when i finally got around to pulling them out they appeared to be the type you use to tie down those capsule things to put the baby in...
who would have thought it...

when i say a "new" car i mean a year old very low kms. I am aware of the huge loss in $ when you drive a brand new car off the showroom floor.

The ute is not used for the tray, it has won trophies in the past. I am one of those who enjoy the power to weight ratio of the ute.

the fuel tank takes up the tray- i suppose i could squash the kids right up the back for extra traction
