Has anyone put a Ute H165 in to the back of a coupe and use the "standard" handbrake cable system? if so what is the trick involved?

Coupe is not much different to the sedan. I know about Sedans..

The handbrake cables that sit on the diff, are different between the 2 models. The rest is very similar (even the same)

I would recommend using the Ute's cable system on the diff housing. You can't use the inside cable that connects to the handbrake lever, because the inner cable is about 15cm shorter.

If you don't have the ute's cables on the diff, and you intend on using the coupe's cables, then you need to make up a square plate with 4 holes in it to space out where the coupes cables attach to the centre of the diff housing.

The hydraulic tubes connect on the same place on the diff, so there's no mod required for that.

I hope this helps.

Chris.
