jus wanting your opinion on what i should do, i previously owned a 1200 ute full of dents n a lil bit of rust while owning this ute i bought a brand new set of rear quarter panels and front guards, i then made the big mistake of purchasing a gemini i paid 4000 for it 2 weeks later it blew up by putting a conrod through the block, a guy bought my datto ute and bodged it up using bog and dropped a new engine it got it registered and running fine on the road i no the engine has been rebuilt new timing chain, new gaskets, new rings and bearings and the ute has been painted up canary yellow but it is a ruff job i no every bit of this car i no the front guartds are brand new and there is no rust in the front end only rust being in the rear quiarters that i have still got a brand new set of, the ute has 6 months rego, now this fulla wants my gemini and 700 dollars for the ute back, should i do it, is it worth basically paying 4700 for a bodgey 1200 ute?????? please let us know what you think

If you know that the only thing wrong with it is the back panels, and you have a brand new set sitting there ready to go on, what are ya waiting for???
wats so bodgy about it???
get some paint, and paint it properly, and you'll have a good ute out of it. at least you know its history.

Oh I know this story all to well; sold my coupe because I had a wazoo fast sports racer that went like mad. 2 motors later I wised up and got the coupe back. The 4000 for the other car is long gone get your ute back and fix it. Trust me as someone who betrayed their Datsun for a faster car ,the sports racer is 25 seconds a lap faster , I'm having way more FUN racing the coupe. Over the 18 years I've owned a 1200 I've had 2 other race cars and 9 street cars the 1200 is my favorite....get yours back.

You could always sell the Gemini , sell the quarters, and get an original rust free 1200 coupe or sedan, so you will feel confidant about what your starting with.

it was a nice gemini( yeha i no nice gemini ive realised theres no such thing as a nice gemini know) resprayed , nice wheels , niiice interior you know all of that kinda stuff so young dikheads like me think yeah its worth it, ive seen the light, back to the datto on friday, expect some pics of arough little ute!!!jus found out its got forgies in it an a14 head and comes with a t4 turbo manifold bov boost controller, turbo timer, little front mount and a stage 5 cam and a auto meter shift light and tacho stoked all this gear mite b up for sale soon, as i dont like the idea of a turbo on a a12 with standard box and diff haha
