the smog police would like you to burn the crank case vapor.
performance wise it won't matter much, though not putting the vapor through your intake will keep things cleaner

Ive always like to use a PVC setup because of the oily fums tend to leave smears on everythinig I run mine to a catch can then from the catch can to the intake this gives me best of both i belive

use it if you can, it will flush corrosive fumes from your crankcase, help keep you oil cleaner for longer, and lessen any horrible oil/fuel smells

What do people do with the crank vent on the passengers rear of the block ?
One of my cars has it blocked off..... the other doesn't.
Wondering which way I should go on the racecar. I currently run a pipe from the block breather to the rocker and then to the catch can.

block it of, or vent it to your catch can as well

Being a racecar I would say you want it open as much as posible. The conditions the engine is under, will be seeing more blowby than a street engine.

DONT BLOCK IT OFF

with all the blow by when you rev them up you will just blow out crank seals
