Ok I'm getting my struts all ready to install. 1st thing I try to remove the old strut insterts and what happens! The shocks are stuck they wont budge and what's worse one of the shocks breaks and only the shell of the insert is left inside the strut tower. So what I'm wondering is if this has happened to anyone esle or if there are any tricks that will help me save my struts.

thanks to all
Max

d'oh!
try some penetrating oil over night, that may help the one not broke.

sounds like a trip to the machine shop.

I had the same drama when I did a disc conversion, I belted the hell out of it using an old strut top and hitting the lower cup.
All I did was bend the cup so I dropped into a suspension mob and they got it out.
He sprayed a wurth brand lube down its guts then very proffessionally belted the hell out of .
