can be done ... i had a 120y diff go into a 1000 2door. had to remove and relocate the leaf spring mounts on the diff to suit the 1000's width. needed a tailshaft made up to suit length and yoke (but had changed gearbox as well).
biggest problem i had was guard clearance was running 14" ET pulsar wheels - front wheel drive offset and still had to pump out the rear quarters to stop them scrubbing.
the 120y diff is a lot wider get the 120y brake lines with the diff including the splitter connection as well.

Thanks Boofhead,
the modds required seem easyier to do than find a 1000 ute diff. The guards shouldn't be a problem as I'm running 13's and there's heaps of clearance. I have to get a tail shaft made up as I have fitted a dellow 5pd that will require a custom shaft.
Thanks again.
Tyrone
