Apparently this is very popular in Japan. I'll be needing a brake/suspension upgrade soon and this seemed like a great idea. Does anyone know of the mods to make this work? Thanks.. Bryan

Anyone..? I was looking in my Retro Car magazine from Japan and a couple of the sunny trucks had AE86 struts. A couple of 310's and other 1200's did also.

Hey dood. the jap ae86 had vented discs so were probly a good upgrade but the aus spec items are pissy solid jobs and proly not much better than you got, however they do have a bolt on caliper mount so you can easily (and legaly if you use bolts instead of welding) use many combinations of cal/disc setup.I'm using r33 4 pots and r33 non turbo(4 stud) discs on my sprinter and it works a treat. Some folks use ra60 celica struts(vented 260 mm) on there sprinters as they bolt straight in but they give a bit of pos camber wich you'l need to dail out.If you want to pursue the ae86 route then look at ke70 or t-18 as they are the same struts and much much easier to find.
good luck dood
