Does anyone have an electronic dizzy to suit an A series?
i know you can get them from datrats.com.au (series 2 bluebird dizzys re mapped) but was wondering if anyone knew any other places to get them?
Or if i got really lucky found someone selling one.
Let me know if you have one for sale or know the best places to get one.
Mike

I ordered a Pertronix retro fit one off the internet for $100. Its not a high energy one though but still shoot a much better spark than the points. Or if high energy is what your after Pertronix have one called ingnitor 2 which is a high enery variant.

Hi Mike. My 1200 came with a scorcher distributor & it seems to work really well. They are located in melbourne but do take interstate orders.

pulsar n12 dissy is ~$50 from wreckers and uses existing bits from an a series dissy. use search bar and ferret for it. mines worked well for months now. bbird dissy is the better option but mainly req'd for high revving and power hungry folks.

i can get you a factory a-series one through a friend in US, havent worked out the price though it isnt going to be as expensive as converting a bluey or pulsar one thats for sure...

i actually am using one in my car, and have another though i dont have a cap for the spare and so far it seems i need to get the cap from US anyway...

i've mentioned it b4 but no-one has shown intrest so i havent bothered finding out prices and that

there are plenty of them over there, so let me know who wants em, i would guesstimate price around 75-100 but not 100% sure yet

p.s. some of these dizzies can be setup to run boost retard with no modifications for you turbo-carby guys

figure out how much you can afford to spend on a real A series electronic distributor, including shipping, then let me know.
