does anyone know if there is any problem with the handbrake when you install the ca18 engine with s13 gearbox.

The gear shifter comes back some what so im wondering if it gets in the way of the hadbrake leaver.

Is ther a solution if so.

yes there is a problem i think you have to get a new cable made because you cant mount the handbrake in the same place as standard

yes, the gear shifter will interfere with the handbrake leaver and people who do this conversion using the standard gearbox have to over come this wether by shortening the cable and moving the whole assembly backwards. One method that my mates KE 70 rolla coupe with Turbo'd SR20DE uses is to just cut the handbrake leaver down a bit, it works sweet and saves a whole lotta work and means that you don't have to change the cables at all if your running stock diff.

Noooooo don't cut it.

Use a 1200 Ute handbrake cable front section and lever, unless you want to make up a clevis and pin for the original Coupe lever. But you'll still need the Ute front cable as it's 150mm shorter. You can also drill out the spot weld for the body reinforcing plate, and move the handbrake lever back 100-150mm.

im not using a stock diff though.

Im wondering if i need to do anything different cause im using the borg warner diff from diff technic.

he showed me the set up to use for brake cable.

Thats not neally my concern.

Id like a functioning hand brake.

I suppose i could just use a commodore one or something.

There very short.

there must be something i can use without too much effort.
