Hey folks, I just want anyones opinions on this:

I was under my Datsun 210 today trying to adjust the ebrake with the adjuster that is underneath the car. I tried turning it with my hands and then pliers. That thing won't budge. And it doesn't help that the cable is twisting around too. Should I just hit it with some PB Blaster and let is set then try adjusting it?

there's a small locknut in front of the adjuster,it's a 10 mm spanner size,so undo this
& you should be able to adjust the handbrake.

If you haven't already, it's worthwhile to check your rear brake shoes adjustment. As they wear, this cause the handbrake not to be as good. Adjusting the shoes will also give you a higher brake pedal.

Thanks for the replies guys.

For the rear shoe adjustments do I turn the adjuster clockwise to have the shoes contact the drums correctly?

Yes, clockwise. Tighten it until it won't go further (takes a lot of force on the little 1/4 inch wrench). Then back off until the wheel turns freely.
