Ok, fitted my engine up this weekend, it's an A15 with a very thin A12 flywheel, mated to a 5 speed Gearbox. Now the issue is, I seem to run out of throw on my release bearing, the cable is adjusted right out but then it hits on the front of the bell housing opening i.e no throw at all.
I have compared the 4 and 5 speed release bearing carrier, and found only 2mm difference in overall length, which I doubt is enough to make a difference. If I refit the A15 flywheel, then it will work fine again, but then where is the fun in that?
Been to Repco and found they only list 1 press on release bearing so I know that's not the issue, so any suggestions or experiences? I was thinking of making up a 5mm spacer to fit behind the release bearing but didn't want to push it too far off the carrier
Here is the picture of my clutch assembly for reference
