I'm quite thrilled to have her home :D

The car has a SuperTrapp exhaust, cut stock springs in front, as well as Koni inserts. The rear suspension is a bodge of parts. Cut down Audi A4 springs, Toyota Land Cruiser shocks, and a rear swaybar from an old 200SX.

Problems on the drive home from CA were minimal. In Nevada, the car lunched its alternator and battery, thanks to a bad ground. Both were replaced in Nevada in parts-store parking lots. In Iowa, an exhaust hanger broke, so the thing clanged the rest of the way home. Somewhere in KS, the left front suspension picked up a squeak.

LF makes a noise when compressed...either from hitting a bump or if you just push on that corner of the car. Irritating for sure, but not to bad.

Great buy dude and ill tell you now, you'll never go back! I can see a KA24DE sitting in that engine bay quite nicley and re sprayed in a gloss black/dark purple with some sort of white 16's all round, dropped on its guts with white vinal interior

Plans? Well, I'm a broke Uni student, so not a whole lot ;) That front spoiler is a rubber piece. The man I bought it from works for a company called 2Bennett Audimotive in Davis, CA. They make some stupidly fast Audis, and that black rubber is what they used to use for makeshift aerodynamcs on their race vehicles. I actually touched that widebody GTR racercar they've got on the site. They've since moved on to actual carbon fiber body pieces :)

In the future I might try an engine swap, or just hot up the A15 with a weber, cam, etc. I'm definitely going to strip out the carpet and back seats because they're both so ugly :-\ I'm also going to find some nice 80s bucket seats in a junkyard for the fronts, since the old seats are so horrible. Maybe try to swap in a 200SX rear end so I can have disc brakes.

For now, its just going to be a change of fluids, filters, tune-up, etc.

Is the interior blue? If so don't trash the parts yet - I may be interested, especially in a front seat if either are in good condition. You may want to stop by the Yahoo Datsun 210 group. It's really hit and miss there but sometimes worth keeping up with.

I had the same plans for my 210 - just keep it runnign and drive it daily. But I blew the head gasket and dove right into a full engine rebuild and repaint of the engine bay, cam, SU carb swap, header etc... Still tryign to get it all together, realistically probably wno't have it on the road tilll the end of the year. Good luck and have fun with it -

Well, they are a light blue, as is the carpet.

I don't think I'm getting rid of anything though. I'm going to pull the seats and carpet and stuff them up in the rafters of my garage, and then re-use the seat rails, and bolt N13 Nissan Pulsar seats to them, since they're a bit lower and far more comfortable.
