Just wondering if anybody knows what the number stamped on the head of datsun engine bolts stands for. EG: Typical head bolt has #12 on it.

I'm trying to find a source of alternate bolts which are cheaper and stronger than the original datsun spec. Anyone else got a suggestion??

the nember is a measure of strength.if you cant get stronger head bolts, arp make a stud kit, there's a photo of it on the site somewhere.
my local repco had a listing for them in an arp
catelogue,& they said they could order them in for me,but they would be getting them from someone like rocket industries.i suggest calling rocket,& see if they can order them in for you.
maybe new head bolts from nissan would be the answer.
