This has me curious too.
I found a 910 wagon at the wreckers. I pulled out an axle, and tried it in a ute centre. I thought, check to see if the splines fit before going to the trouble of pulling the head out. It didn't.

Then a bloke I know went to the same wreckers, and bought the very same head. I told him, "Haha that wont fit your diff".
But it did?????
Then he went to a hilux diff instead, so he sold it to me. And it worked. Buggered if I know what was going on, I could've sworn the splines didn't mesh with the head that came out of my ute housing.

Now I've found another 910 wagon. I can get it for a doz of piss. Without dicking aroung pulling it to bits, how can I ID if it will be the right thing?

Im pretty sure all h165s have the same splines so if its a h165 it will fit. Bluebird, vannette etc.
