G'day, I am a bit worried about the oil supply to the head on my A14. When started if i take the oil cap off no oil seems to be spraying around in there, should I -
-Flush the oil system with that nulon stuff?
- get my hands on an electric oil pressure guage and see what the pressure is?
- piss the oil pump off and fit one from the wrecker?
- use thicker oil to indrease oil pressure at startup?
-Just keep driving?
Sorry for the long post Cheers Tyrone..

There shouldn't be oil spraying about. On a tired engine you will get blowby but it is generally a haze. . .
If you are worried:
Take your rocker cover off
Start the engine
There should be a trickle from between the rockers. It usually takes a while for oil to get up the top in these things so it may need to idle for a while.
To check oil pressure, slowly (that is slowly) undo/crack the oil pressure switch, a squirt will tell you it is all good. You could use a guage, but where is the fun in that?
Bonus Tips:
Don't Rev the engine with the rocker cover off ,unless you want to spend time with degreaser.
Keep fingers etc clear.
Keep one hand on the coil lead while undoing the oil pressure switch, if it pops out, pull your "kill lead"

Have you taken the head off? If you have there is a bolt with a thin shank that has to go in a certain hole you could have that in the wrong place.
Is it making noise like the the tappets are all loose? Thats a indacation that there is no oil in the topend. You will no the noise cos it will sound like someone has thrown a bunch of nuts & bolts in the rocker cover. If its quiet there might not be anything to worrie about . Go to an auto parts store & get a capilary oil pressure gauge & check the oil pressure. It will cost you about 30bucks

If you want to ensure that the oil galleries are clean, then try using engine oil that's designed for diesel trucks. This is a high detergent oil and it will steadily dissolve any sludge buildup in your engine. Be prepared to do more frequent oil changes and always use a new filter. The original 1200 filter is still available and it is bigger so it will last longer. Change the oil when it gets black, or at normal service intervals, whichever comes first.
