i put a camira throttle body on to match the camira computer, though i think i have created airflow issues, as the exit of the TB is a large round round opening and inlet manifold opening is a smaller oval, Im currently re-thinking, whether to change the TB over to something else, suggestions???
(i have the stock twin throat TB still though this looks TINY)
that dude in NZ (sorry mate strugling to remember name) had a stock one which has a larger single butterfly, which could be a better option... if i can get one..
or what else matches up?
the other option is to try to port the manifold as much as possible to suit the camira TB, mainly trying to remove the sharp edge to more of a trumpet shape,
hmmmm, what to do, suggestions?
just as an update, im also looking at getting an adjustable fuel pressure regulator to up the fuel pressure as injectors are maxing out at 4000rpm, is there any adjustable ones at wreckers???
would also like to open up exhaust...
suspecting turbo issues as boost control is illogical, i put a massive leak in the wastegate actuator lines (used a t-piece to vacuum line which is venting to atmosphere), yet boost is not increasing from 6psi
previously i put washer on to space out the actuator mounting, this decreased boost, but when i removed the washers, the boost did not increase again

i've tried a lot of boost control methods but none have been consistant yet, what sort of damage/problem could cause this behaviour??? considering there is no unusual noises, though i think it is coming on boost later than it used to
plan is to increase fuel pressure, do exhaust and throttle body all at same time for a final tune which fingers crossed will have her running like she should.... but thats possibly $1000 worth all up....so yeah... still planning and saving
just to complete the novel... put in some rectangle tubing across the back (basically between the rear seat belt mounting bolts), as mounting points for my harnesses, then using aluminium sheet to create a firewall i enclosed the back half, up to the bottom of the back window and down between the wheel arches, all siloconed in so i dont get the fumes from the fuel setup, and my fuel pump is securely mounted under the car instead of cable tied in the boot
will have to get photos...
see some of you blokes at the cruises, thanks
Michael
