Try to keep the outside diameter of the front tyres down to about 550 to 565mm. This is close to the original diameter & it will clear the footwell area.
A 5" wide rim works great, while 6" rims start to give a little grief with the top of the front guard wheel arch.
The diameter of the rim is not so important, but the diameter of the tyre IS, & 185 x 60 x 13's are a good choice under the front. If you stick pretty close to this tyres diameter & tread width, you should have no real problems.

Rears can be wider & larger, but you will need to trial fit to be sure.

I've got 17x7's on a 1200 but I dont know if the wheel arch size is the same and if they are I had to modify the front wheel arch so that the wheel dosent hit when you turn if you go to my picks you can see what I mean

just remembered the skinniest tyre that I can find is a 205 and I personally think it is a bit too wide on the front as compared to a 195 but no one in mackay can seam to get them for me
