I am building a MG Midget with an A15 engine, if I can get my hands on one.

I am having trouble finding performance parts to build an A15.

I have the MG all set up right now with a 1275cc british engine with everything it ever needed but instead of just putting a 5 speed datsun trany on the british engine I decided it would make more sense to just drop in a datsun engine and build a trany mount and drive line based on the kits currently available for the trany swap and then engineer the mounting of the engine in the front.

A15 engine:

I want to build a realy fast A15, but I am having trouble finding the performance parts, pistons, valves, head, rods, cranks, and information on performance like I am used to with british engines, can someone tell me a company that tunes these engines?

I need to get my hands on a A15 from a 79-81 210 with a 5 speed since it would make sense to use the trany thats use in the british engine to datsun conversion, allowing me to put a british engine back in if I decide to, still searching for that but when I find one I'm going to strip it for everything I need to make the engine run in my car to start the project, I am considering building another A15 while I use a pretty much stock one from a donor vehicle to test the set up.

Right now I'm in the military overseas but am returning to USA soon, so my project should be getting underway soon.

I'm looking for advice on the A15 engines, forced induction, and good references about them as well as the accesorys to make the engine fast.

Right now the MG is set up pretty custom, and I'm sure all of the work I've done to make the brit engine run great will be able to hook up to the A15.

Well Stefan youve come to the right place, all the info on hotting up an A15 is right here.

Twin Weber manifolds are readily available here in Australia, If you cant find one where you are.

A reputable performance engine builder should have access to everything else you need.

Search through this site and you will find all you might ever want to know about forced induction on an A15.

On the other hand, will any other Datsun engines mate up with the transmission out of a 79-82 210?

I am planning on using the same transmission type that I am using for the 5 speed conversion of a simular car that is a racer for SCCA vintage, so it only makes sense to me to use as many common parts between my two fun cars, but if a e15t for example would mate up to the 210 trany thats another option.

A twin weber DCOE manifold seems like the way to go for now, I am running a single weber 40DCOE on the car right now which is a a bit small for a 1275cc so that would be an easy swap.
