wanted specs on the 4agze motor

hi just wondering if you could help me out
where putting a 4agze motor into a datsun 1200 ute and want to rebuild the mtotor but need spec's on the motor and any other advice

heavier, less power and more expesive than a CA18DET



sorry i could probably be more helpful, i did start a thread ages ago which listed stats on many viable engine swaps including the 4A

ill see if i can find it....

hmm this is all i could find on the engine

there are 4 variations of the 4agze ,, early ones had a lower comp ratio and a bigger port head with no oil squirters under the pistons ,, later engines had higher comp ratio , smaller port head and oil squirters under the pistons ,,, All had a forged and ceramic coated pistons as std ,, if the engine is not low on compression i wouldn`t bother rebuilding the engine as they are a very strong engine in std form .. they are 25kgs lighter that a CA18det ,, i have some custom madrel bent extractors to fit a 4agze into a 1200 4 sale ..

datto masters are allowed to be biased when it comes to datsun/nissan things.

why anyone would want to put anything but a nissan heart in a nissan body beats me tho

especially when there are bolt in conversion kits and heaps more bolt on extras for the nissan motors....
