I've decided to use an SR20 radiator in my CA18 conversion as it simplifies the intercooler plumbing but the thermostat housing is facing the wrong way. I have seem some modified thermostat housings, but was wondering whether anyone has found a factory part the bolts on.
Let me know what model it was from!
Thanks all

I asked the Nissan dealership awhile ago about the EXA CA18DE housing and he told me it was the same as my Silvia one.

Cable Tie have you ever seen anyone using this?

I've got a Bluebird bottom hose to use but was unsure on best top hose. I was thinking of just using one of those straight universal type ones once I got the thermostat facing the right way. You reckon the Urvan might be a goer. I let you know when I get it sorted.

Apparently the Nissan guy was wrong as I have been told from a very reliable source
(K.Rowley) that EXA part number 11060-D4200 is what I need.

I'll be ordering one in tomorrow.

Well ordered my thermostat housing today from Nissan. Wow they're not cheap. I recently paid $35 for a billet alloy o-ringed one for my 350 chev...but this run of the mill nissan one is setting me back $70 + $9 for the gasket. It's the price we pay for customising I guess.

It saves a few bends and welds in the intercooler plumbing and probably saves you $79 there.

I was surprised at the cost also.

Yeah, my car is at the intercooler shop at the moment and he has just finished all the piping, but I was going to get him to cut and shut the original Silvia thermostat housing rather than re-route the piping. No doubt this would have cost me about the same and probably not have looked as neat. Buying an off the shelf part was the best bet I reckon.
I picked it up from Nissan today and it looks like it will do the job..just have to get the ute back to my house and bolt it on.
