hello. wow it feels so funny to be posting on a datsun forum again. its been a few years, and i used to be on ozdat cause i had a 510/1600. I for better or worse, sold the 98 corolla i had been given and have bought a 74 1200 ute. Im pretty stoked with it, but god its old and i got a little used to the corolla. Anyway, a few questions.


It looks like ive got electronic ignition on the A15, where did that come from? Is is most likely a swap from some other model?

Also, the stock carb has a butterfly valve on the second barrel with a little weight on it? Does this open up under vacuum? Or is it not connected properly.

The electronic dizzy most likely (without a photo) comes from a Bluebird. These tech section articles talk about electronic dizzys.

There are a few electronic ignition kits out there for sale too, lucky you have one already installed.
