hey guys

I am just sorting out some final stuff with my A15 and was wanting to know the best methods to find out a couple of details. The first is, finding which ignition leads go to which spark plugs. The points i know is that the firing order is 1 3 4 2 and that the rotor button rotates anti clockwise. Any help here would reall be appreciated.

The second question is also to do with the distributor and that is how to set the dizzy with the correct amount of advance or retard. Thanks for ya help

cheers
Andrew

Here's an A14 dizzy (same as A15) - you should be able to tell from the photo below which plug goes where. Cylinder No 1 is on the right.

There are a few options, check these tech section articles on electronic ignition as a first port of call.

Tech Section 1

Tech Section 2

Tech Section 3

That tech section had plenty more info than anyone expects...

No, the Bluebird distributor does NOT go in & one look at them will tell you why,... however Datrats offer a 'modified' series two Bluebird electronic distributor that will service your needs most adequately.
Check out the site & tell whoever it was that feeds you misinformation, to get it right.
