I use a Chrome/metal poilsh and a toothbush as Phunk said, its like a mild liquid abrasive so go easy on it.

how to kleen steel badges and getem lookin new ,
you will need 2lts of coke ,a flat piece of glass ,wetndry 800 1000 1200 1500 2000 grit a sheet of each will do . a high speed drill or a super cheap electric die grinder and a minture buff which is about 5cm round.
So the next step is to soak the badge in coke for a day to clean it up a bit .then give it a clean. start by buffing the edges of the badge until your happy wth the shine ,then give it a wash ,next lay your sheet of 800 w/d on the glass gritty side up ,using warm soapy water and run the face of the badge across the paper on 45s work your way up to 2000 grit doing this cheking the face of the badge as you go is should come up nice .DONOT try this on plastic or chrome badges this is for steel badges only cheers geoff..........

a variable speed dremel with a 4mm polishing wheel...and a VERY steady hand.

Or just buy a new badge from Nissan
