how many people does a 1200 coupe seat? legally

I'd say 4. Count the seat belts. I know that there are only 2 in the back seat
on my sedan.

the coupe seats 5 man, but the middle dude in the back seat gets a g-string wedgie from a wire in the middle of it, talking about back seats i just realised that i have never sat in my
coupes back seat, as i always drive, trippy. to tell you the truth, my mates hardly fit in the back anyways, there is no room for anyone (or anything...) back there, its not the
biggest volume of space.
heaps of room in the front for two though.

Theres only 4 seatbelts. Legally only 4 can be in there not 5. 5 is a sqeeze tho!! I have however managed to fit 7 in my old coupe!! I was glad to be driving but if i got pulled
over it wouldnt have been as funny!! Now my new coupe has no back seat. In fact, its only got the drivers seat at the moment! Its still off the road, the head has gone in for a
freshen up.

I had fit a total of 6 people in my 1200 before -- me driving and a guy with a girl on his lap in the front, and three in the backseat, I had to go SLOW over speed bumps as my car is already
lowered. I've sat in the backseat of 1200's before, and even though it is somewhat cramped, it wasn't actually all that bad! I've sat in the back of all of my other friend's cars, and they
are absolutely HORRIBLE compared to the 1200! My friend's 1993 Mazda MX-3 forces you to bend your neck sidewaysif you are over 5 ft tall and it makes you sit straight up because the back
part is not countoured at all. My other friend has a brand new Ford Mustang and even with the seat all the way forward you still have NO leg room whatsoever, and your head will also hit the
roof. His Mustang actually has less legroom than the Mazda. My brother has an older Mustang (1990) that isn't too bad, comparable to the 1200. My other brother on the opposite end of the
spectrum, had a 1968 Buick Riviera and it had the most comfortable rear seats, plenty of legroom, and room for up to four pretty comfortably in the backseat. All in all, the 1200 has a good
backseat in my opinion. Did you know that you can fit the bottom seat portion from a B210 into the 1200? It's a tight fit, but it goes right in with no modifications, and it's much more
comfortable on the rearend. I did that on my other 1200 and the passengers were quite appreciative.

Excellent work on the exhaust pipes, Dave. A bit of advice, put a double aluminum heat shield around the master cylinder, it looks real close to the pipes. The fluid may take the
heat but I'm not sure about the seals in the cylinder. I would also suggest DOT 4 fluid but you probably use it anyway. It's going to be a honker. I want a ride in it. LOL

After a friends 18th ...10 years ago, I squeezed 9 people (incl. me) in my 1200 station wagon. There were many problems associated
with such daring..
1. Drunk people are noisy..9 are deafening.
2. Retreaded tires tend to buckle under the load, and try to escape from the wheel rims. I was very lucky. It was like driving in
jelly.
3. Even when using the B210 disc front end, it doesn't stop very well.

I got everyone home safely...I was sober...I needed a drink when I got home...

Hey Dave, the manifold looks great along with the rest of the conversion. My coupe is comming along nicely aswell. I will send some pics to you when i get the SR20DET back in for the
final time, you can then see the differences that there are between the Lh drive and RH drive conversions with the SR. My turbo sits right up, the exhaust housing is inline with the strut
tower, but i havent got a brake master cyl to worrie about on that side so it was a bit easier. What turbo are you using, ive chosen the killer turbonetics t-66
