Hey fellas, so close to finished, took the new shell (ute) for a bit of a test run on wednesday night, very very exciting... it was overheating as the radiator was damaged in the accident, so it was a very short run, but as soon as i can replace the radiator i should be back in full flight!!!!

bought a sedan as a longer term project (stock looking sleeper, its half restored already, a12 auto) and just aquired back my friends coupe (which has all the good bits from my rallycar which i sold to him and never recieved payment)

still have the old rallycar shell too... i have to ditch a shell or two i think... anyone after a coupe shell with auto tunnel requiring some work in fixing up rust???

could possibly sell the sedan shell... am currently looing at options... but definately gotta make some room...

anyone interested in a ute with A15ETT? (another less likely but possible option)

anyway, blah blah blah

ill come good with some funky ute pics very soon!!!!

Got a new radiator in today, went for a bit more of a drive...

but am losing boost somewhere now and its way too wet out there...

the radiator is an awesome conversion... its out of a toyota paseo, about 690x400mm with plastic end tanks (but not alloy fins), with the same size hose fittings, both on the right hand side so you have to be a little tricky for the top hose (i used two hoses connected with an original 1200 heater hose t-piece that i blocked up the heater pipe with soldier), its twin core, and i have fit two 10inch thermo fans, with an intercooler in front of it. It still is holding the temp at just over a quarter (thermos are permanent wired at the moment)

other tips recently discovered, an old cylindrical coil is a great size for knocking in wheel bearing seals

coupe petrol level sensors are good for utes in that they have a built in breather pipe which is good for returning fuel into the tank (though the petrol gauge is now inaccurate)

oh yeah, and i have now personally fitted the bluey rear discs to a h165 diff and can verify that works (previously done it on h190 only)

and never assume cause it fit in one 1200 it will fit in the next!!!!! damn i had trouble making some stuff fit using all the components from the coupe bolting them into the ute, particularily the engine and crossmember, still dunno why that didnt go straight in
