Heeey guys. My wagon has been imobile for the last couple of days whilst i get my act together and find whats actually wrong with her.
Ok, at first engine turned over very slowly with not a lot of power but i thought that it was just supercold or sumin becoz its winterbut the next day after work i went to start her and NOTHING, not even the sound of the solinoid clicking. Push started her and then got home. Put battery on charge as i thought it was that.. battery is fine. Every so often it does turn over but is very weak. I tapped the starter motor with a hammer to try loosen the gear and it kinda worked, stil ####ty. Im asumming that it is the starter. will have to take it out and have a look.

Anyone have any thoughts or help for me ??
Cheers. Its very painful not being able to drive my baby
Chris

I'd say it's the starter too!

I had a 1961 Vauxhall Velox auto that had that had a problem starting it would crank over V E R Y S L O W L Y

ended up being the solenoid or the motor windings

dad and I got it going only to seize it up solid 6 months later

check to make sure all of your wires are true and that your terminals are clean and have a good contact.
this doesnt explain why it is slow to crank, it could only give an explenation why it stopped all together. also check the solenoid, if its not clicking then it probably needs replacing.
as for why the starter motor was cranking slowly??
mite be getting arthiritis....
