I am new to the site. My apologies to the member I sent an email to seeking assistance. I hope I have located the right site for a general enquiry.
I bought a 1972 Datsun 1200 ute 12 years ago. I am finally fixing small things up on it. I want to replace the side mirrors. Does anyone know what type/brand/shape I can use to substitute that are similar to the original. I have no idea what the originals looked like.
Unfortunately I have no mechanical knowledge. I bought the ute registered in very good condition for $500 and it has never stopped. The young fellow that owned it referred to it as Doris Datsun, hence the nickname.

datsun 240k mirrors are the same as 1200 ones, or close to it. Local wreckers or no doubt someone on the site will have one or two.
If you give an idea of where in NSW you are you'll probably find someone nearby that may be able to help.

Thanks, I live near Uralla which is about 25 klms south of Armidale NSW. Does anyone have a photo of a stock standard Datsun ute. Even tho I purchased the vehicle in good nick, things like the "Datsun" signature need to be affixed and I have no idea where it went. I heard there was a place in Queensland where you can send your dash and they make an exact replica. Does anyone no of this place.

Earlier models of the B310 'Sunny' used mirrors that were the same as the 1200 ones, except that they are chrome instead of grey, & they are still available. I bought a pair of new ones for my sons 1200 coupe recently.
