Howdy All!
I just purchased a 1200 Ute! 1978
Same paint scheme/colors, bonnet & side skirts as a Ford XC Cobra Falcon.

Needs a few niggly bits done to it before I can get it registered. Plans for a fixup & CA18DET or 13BT eventually. Here are My Pics

I live Southside Brisbane too :) Where do people take there datto's? And wheres a Datsun wreckers?

Keep an eye on this thread and watch the progress and help me out.

Also, will these side mirrors be mountable on the ute? Does anyone use them?

I need new side mirrors. Original or not doesn't bother me. Chrome is a must.

Also, it needs new pedals, it has currently brake and clutch but all that remains of the accelerator is the metal bottom. Help here would be great. I'd prefer a whole new matching set.

Steering wheel also needs replacing, anyone know of what wheels/boss kits direct bolt up?

Cheers

Ummm, Howdy,.... partner.

B310 Sunny mirrors are available through your Nissan dealer. The earlier type are the same as the 1200 mirror, but are chrome. Best of both worlds. I bought a pair relatively recently.

Do you need new pedals, or pedal rubbers? It's very unusual for the whole pedal to be jiggered, but perhaps yours is the exception. You might have to check the wreckers or your Nissan parts counter for these.
New rubbers are available from several sources & Spectrum are but one of them & Scotts are another. If they can't help with the accelerator padal, then try the Nissan dealer. They still sell parts for 1200,s.

For steering wheels, go to any auto parts house that sells Autotecnica stuff. The boss kit is Number 434 & it will accept a wide range of wheels from them & a few from other brands as well.
You may need to carefuly bend the blinker cancelling pins outwards just a whisker to ensure that the blinkers always cancell, so use your original wheel as a guide.

Perhaps if you read the posts that members place here for your benefit, you won't need to re-write the same damn questions.Quote:

If you click on the blue writing, it will take you directly to the website of that company, so you don't even need to look them up as it has already been done for you.

I'd say go thought the photos find a type you like and then just PM the person and ask what type they are.
