more camber?
Guest_
hi folks, well after my wheel debarkle, im looking to get some more camber from my stanza struts... as it cam with them in there im not sure of the control arms used but by the ride height im guessing they are the standard stanza springs.
Im looking to put lowered springs on soon or even just stock 1200 ones for a little bit more camber but the track is still fairly wde for wheel choices.

Apart from forking out $500 for ratdat strut tops, is there any other way to get some neg camber from this set up.

The wheel and tyre combo for the 280zx rims put them about 15mm outside the guards (the guards have already been lipped and slightly pumped, not enough).

any sugestions?

i doubt you have standard stanza springs in there... unless you can fit your head between the tyre and guard that is....

when i had the a series in the ute... i had lowered king springs in it and had nearly 2degrees negative camber... enough?

once the rotator went in the front sat a touch too low and i went back to standard 1200 springs in the front...

2 degrees hey? that would be enough but it seems wider than boofs front end so that would be wider than yours too ANGE...
2 degrees is pretty tempting for all those tyre replacemnts i will have to make...

Are you using B310 ball joints on the lower control arms? if not they will give you 15-18mm more

if its a stanza front end it should be the same as anges ute and my sedan ??
i reckon the issue is the offset oo the wheels .... the 15x6" skyline rims sit heaps wider than the 15x5.5" trx rims ... maybe the dish on the zx rims is wider again ??

Im trying to work out what it has, thats the problem when it came like that from previous owner.... needs new bushes though from looking at them.

the 280zx rims have -12 offset from memory on my searches.

Why do you want more camber? Less camber (negative camber) will give better performance.

But I can see if your tires are wearing on the inside edge, more camber should fix that problem.
