g'day guys

i wanna replace some of the crappier panels in my ute and do a little re-spray job.

Those after market panels you can buy, are they any good? do they match up ok and everything? are they worth buying or am i better to have the existing ones repaired and painted?

any help appreciated.

cheers

Hi fat_dat,

I recently had all 4 door panels replaced on my B310. I think they line up well and are better then fixing the old ones, of course depending on how badly damaged/rusted they are. If its a slight dent then fixing them will be ok. Its when you have to use quite a bit of bondo. :) . Hope this helps

Mate - I'd suggest getting the genuine panels if you can......

I've gone through a lot of pain trying to get the Mark Gibbs panels to fit properly.
I think the dies used to stamp these out are a bit worn.

I suppose it depends on what sort of finished product you want.

well i was going to look at the mark gibson ones, but i've heard they don't match up to well. i'll have a look at repairing the rust in the quarter panels. How does the tailgate fit? i really would like a new one of those, mine is fairly crappy.

cheers anyway.

i bought panel's (bonnet) from ozeparts for my u12 pintara, and i have to say their service was excellent...

i dont think you will have too many problems with them, if theres problem with anything (usually manufacturer's fault, or fitting problem) he will let you know before you buy it...
