just tossing up if it would be worth puttin afew gs into my a14 turbo? does any one have an idea of what can be done to make it abit quicker, forgies etc? and what sort of power i can get the little 1.4 to make and what price range?

I want to do some thing different rather than and an engine conversion to a ca sr fj etc, i dont like the fact of being the same as every one else lol.

i dont know any thing about dattos as this is my first...

start with an a15, t2 turbo of like an et pulsar & fuel injection( hard part ) ems stinger comp. & factory inj manifold ( if u can find 1) of make somthin fit. easy 120+hp at the wheels and thats through an auto. get out of it for as little as 3000. forget forgies unless u are thinking of 15+ psi.

why a15, hes got an a14 already, better off with a bore, a15 head to drop cr slightly (not much difference to a14 heads) maybe mazda turbo pistons and rings to match a higher boost. intercoolerer, efi and fingers crossed. Dont go for t2, get a 2nd hand t25 or similar from a nissan 200sx.... shoul be good for up to 150hp... will be quick enough but not ca conversion fast.

I notice you are still running ballast resistor ignition.
I would suggest you use a bluebird series 2 distributor with a electronic ignition coil like a bosch HEC 715 for more spark, that should give you a bit more fire power!

Also is my 5 speed goin to be able to handle more hp???

blofly: i'll give that a shot, are they straight change over or do i need to modify it?

and matty: yeh it is that one although it's not yellow any more.

the 5sp will depend on what series of box it is the 60 and 63 should do alright if its driven sensibly
the bluebird dizzy isn't a straight swap, needs to have some machining of the shaft and other little bits and pieces as well as clamp made to suit the mounting for the a series block. absoutely a worth while upgrade check out datrats for the details and costs on one
