Well its been a long time coming but i finnaly got another 1000. I just missed my old 1000 ute too much! So a guy contacted me saying he was willing to part with his '68 Wagon. Also as part of the sale came a unlic rusty 1200 ute and heaps and heaps of 1000 parts including panles, diffs, motors and 3 cars worth of little things like speedos and door handles etc.

The wagon is in pretty good cond. a bit of bog and minor dents in the right side and the paint isnt the best but otherwise its great. Its got a 1200 A12 in it, so thats a start. Good intiror etc. Its a Deluxe too!

Plans?
A14/A15, 1 1/2" SUs with all the goodies, Dattoman1000s front end disk conversion, lower it, locker maybe and some nice 2pc rims no bigger then 13"!


The ute is full of rust, and ill be selling it soon.

Good score. It looks to be a 1968 model with a later grille in it.

Your plans are good, but I suggest that you forget the locked diff as it is both illegal & unsafe. [& I don't care what others say, it's unsafe.]
If you prang it because of the locked rear & they find out, you may face charges & your insurance company will wipe you like a soiled backside. The 'L' plate in the back window suggests that you have yet to learn how to drive, so play it safe & it will be a car that you will remember with fondness all your life.

All i ever wanted was a Good Datto 1000 wagon. Now everone is getting them over in aussieland and NZ didnt even get them so there is a very bad chance that i'll ever get one.
