they are deffinately of quality
in saying that i would DEFINAELY fork the large amount of money to buy one and get it over to nz. unfortunately i am a student and therefore a poor bugga

Define 'better' in your instance.

If you have enough power to readily break H165's, then the stronger H190 is 'better' as you stand much less chance of breaking it & the increased reliability would override any drawbacks.

If you do not have enough power to seriously worry the H165, then the heavier & bulkier H190 would have nothing to offer you, & the reduction in ride quality & the extra power-robbing internal drag would actually make it worse than the smaller diff.

So you need to ask yourself, what kind of 'better' is best for you?
