are C210 (6 cylinder) Skyline springs on a 120Y too heavy duty??

are they the same diamater as 240K springs...

because 240K struts have the same size sping perches as 120Y struts...

I have a friend that has a C210 skyline, and he said I could have what I needed off of it... the engine is "dead" but he also has a 280C that has a good engine and gearbox... but dead diff!

Where did you hear 240k springs are same diamtter as 120Y? They defiinitely arent, they are the same diamter as a 200b or 1600, 180b spring.

120y is only same diamter as 1200, sunny, stanza or 240/260 and 280z.

to bad cant use the springs, making them paddock bombs is the only way out of this

EDIT: a 2.8 litre 120y would be cool, with some 240k brakes, maybe some IRS as well

shame noone knows what struts the PB210 uses...

same as 1600/180B?? that's what I was thinking.... are the 120Y strut towers slightly larger than the 1200 ones?... I have 4x 120Y's and a square light sunny...

if I was going to build a 6 cylinder 120Y it would be a VG30DETT!

"The Iron Maiden" IS a farm hack and has been for the last 18 months...

before that it had been thrashed it had been doing bunouts, generally mistreated etc.

just want to get rid of the front end bottoming out, have better brakes, And have a car that powerslides easily..

yeah, a L28 120y would powerslide easy
just need no dash and alot of spare sheet metal and the engine would slide in

then use the sunny control arms and steering arms, cut the spring mount off the the 240k struts, weld the 120y ones on
then you have 240k struts in the 120y

then use the rear springs out of the 280c (hope they are the small size) and use them as front springs in the 240k struts

your just being lazy the effort is definatly worth it, if i had all that stuff i would be doing it, except it would be going into my ute rather than a 120y

EDIT: just check the size of the rear springs in both those cars, you might get lucky

rear 240k could fit 1200 front?

I've got 240z rears in my front... I wouldnt say they were too hard :)
