hello i'm new to the site and me and my mate are setting up a turbo on our 1200 ute. the turbo i am using is a td04 of a wrx and it's the first time i've come across a water cooled turbo. my question is should i just tap into the heater hose or is there another option?

That is what I'm planning. I have one turbo from a twin turbo Mitsubishi 3000GT on a 1300 cc A-12 (A-12 block with A-14 pistons). I've teed the lines going to and from the heater core to flow through the bearing section of said turbo. Haven't run it yet so I don't know if it is going to work. Perhaps you could blow yours up first and let me know?

Kegs - did you notice much of an increase in the coolant temp after doing this?

well we're in the middle of making the j pipe rite now. but the only thing that was worrying about was if tapping into the heater hoses it might varie in water flow or even might reverse flow if the heater was switched on?
