I am a fellow girl also doing up dattos. Have you driven an aseries with manual??? Because the standard ones prove to be hard to stall. Well that was the case in my bfs wagon anyway???

Do you want a sedan, wagon or ute?? And have you got a favourite model?? 1200? 1600? alot of girls like the 180b and 200bs as well.

I guess by the needed straight thing your not going to be doing panelbeating yourself. If you hold out and be patient you may find someone selling a near original one and even sometimes there cheap because people think its and old car and dont realise what people would pay.
My bf bought a Datsun260C which his the 2nd owner was near immaculate and like 2 tiny dings down the side. Which is awesome for a 30 yr old car!

The main message is just dont rush into the first one u see, I looked at heaps of utes before i got mine which was rust free then i seen the sedan for sale and bought that because i "loved it from first sight" haha but its gonna cost me alot of money and time to fix its rust.

my hubby had a 1200 sedan but had no time to work on it so sold it. i didnt want his one!!!! didnt like it either!!! He had the car n parts for sale on here in about july/august last yr. I am probly gonna look at a ute, again preferably auto...the engine work n stuff i'll do myself but dont have patience for panelbeating!! i got more spare time then hubby as he at work n i at home with the baby! as long as rust hasn't eaten thru the body TOO BADLY n its in spots here n there, i don't really mind. if the body has a few dings here n there i don't mind but like major panelbeating i wont even give it a 2nd look

Looks good, but it'd cost me just as much to ship it down here as it would to buy it!
