Okay I know I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed but I need something explained to me . I'm told that a pintara lsd diff would be a good option to put into my 120y. However from my enquiries so far all I can see is pintaras with east west motors. The obvious question is. Are these babies front wheel drive? do they have a rear a diff and axle set up that can easily go into my beast? Cheers Simon

The pintara was/is built from 1987 to about 1994. The early ones are "R31" and are RWD and in about 1990 ish the changed to the "U12" which is a front wheel drive. Hope this clears that up for you.

Cheers. Adam.

And it is highly unlikely you will find a Pintara with an LSD.

The R31 Pintara is 4.1auto/man non-LSD.
The R31 Skyline Sillouette is a 3.7manual, 3.9auto LSD.

Mr gx1200 is very correct (In case you needed a second opinion).
