so me and my dad were talking.
the talk ended up with us deciding to install a SR20DET in our 71 1200 coupe deluxe.
i need help with how to install it
if anyone knows what to do or could provide any links to sites that tell you how it would be very helpfull

But please beware: There is no step-by-step guide. There is no "bolt in kit". It will involve sourcing (looking for parts) and custom fabrication.

haha. The thought crossed my mind but at least from yesterday no one had added much about SR20 swaps.

But OK, that Engine Swap link has some basic information on SR20 swap, and links to photos you can click to get more information. Give it a try!

if you want to run standard ecu best to get an engine package or front cut. otherwise an aftermarket computer can be used and ull just need a engine/box. You will need to do the usual engine/gearbox mounts, intercooler and piping, sort out radiator, tailshaft, dump/exhaust etc

If you are 'totally new' to the engine swap thing, particularly if you are new to the 'fixing up cars' thing, then this is a big job. It might pay to get a look at some cars that have had engine swaps already. Stuff like CA18 DE[T]'s have been popular & there are a few around. These would be good to look at BEFORE you rip into a project that you might not be able to handle.

It would be beneficial to you if you could at least include the country that you live in as part of your profile.
